The match started fine and as the game went on the bullets players got more and more frustrated with calls and began berating the referee and were awarded several yellow cards. One of the worst offenders (Tyler Gregory) is actually a referee himself (so that is a shame. With around 4 minutes remaining in the game, the score was sc1924 4 - Detroit bullets 1, and out of seemingly nowhere number 12 Elton Gjura jumped on Alain Webbers back putting him in a deep choke hold. It took several of our guys to separate him all while we could hear Alain literally fighting for air. It was a very intense few moments and once separated Eltons teammates began apologizing profusely for his behavior. This was beyond the simple red card he recieved... this was assult with intent to harm. I personally was the first one to the scuffle attempting to pull Elton off and I can promise you his intent was to hurt Alain. I hope that the league takes a deep dive at this incident and does what is right.
