THE PUGET SOUND CUP TOURNEY:  REGISTER HERE!

Welcome to the Puget Sound Recreational Soccer League.  The newly formed US Club Soccer -sanctioned league plans to kick off in September 2015. The Puget Sound Recreational Soccer League will include about 10 initial clubs, roughly 220 teams and nearly 2,500 players.

The league’s geographical boundary stretches Tacoma to the south, Sumner and Puyallup to the east and Issaquah and Renton framing the north and west respectively. Rec clubs in all directions contact us about joining in the future. The league will conclude the fall season with the Puget Sound Rec Cup tournament in December!

The aim is to bring more support to the recreational soccer player, to the teams and to the clubs. We believe Rec Soccer is a vital and necessary component of putting all players first!  As we evolve US Club Soccer's first-ever regional rec league, we plan to keep our focus on making all players better! The PSPL will be offering free player clinics with PSPL Technical Director Eddie Henderson! And we will organize a Rec NSCAA Coaching course for recreational coaches -- both in August.

"We are looking forward to introducing our new 'Coach Technical Training' and 'Player Technical Training' to all participants," Henderson said. " The goal is to educate coaches and putting players first, insisting on fun and inspiring passion." 

Under the new league, teams also will have access to high quality Team Pages and well-organized league standings and schedules. The fall season will be composed of 10-12 games for U11 teams and older.  The U7-U10 League tentatively will play an 8-10 game season.

League Options:

• U7-U10 boys/girls mod leagues.
• U11 to U18 boys/girls: recreational league format.
• U7-U10 play 4v4, 6v6 or 8v8.
• U11 teams play 9v9.
• U12 & older play 11v11.
• 10-12 game season based on home/away matches.
• Home team is responsible for securing referees and fields.
• Team fee for U11-U18: $100 per team.
• Team fee for U7-U10: $50 per team or equivalent per-player cost.

PSPL Copa League:

• Rec teams can also opt to play in the PSPL Copa League, which is an entry-level select league that plays regionally in the Puget Sound. There is no cross-state travel.
• Most Copa teams are rec-select level and play in the fall and spring. Teams have the option to play in one or both seasons.

• Please complete and submit the Rec Registration Form (#R003 – R), with payment per instructions included on the form. Please send to PSPL Rec Coodrdinator: (kara@pugetsoundpremierleague.com).

• Complete background checks. All staff members who will be coaching, working with players, or traveling with players must complete a background check.
