Horsham Soccer was founded on three fundamental principles:
1. Learning and playing should be fun.
2. Team success is secondary to individual player development.
3. Every player, regardless of his/her skill level, should be provided an environment conducive to his/her skill level.
Horsham Soccer offers three soccer programs- Spring, Intramural and Travel:
The Spring Program is open to both Intramural and Travel players from Pre-K through 8th grade (player must be born on or before 07/31/2010 through 08/01/2000). Each team will be given 1.5 hour time slot on Friday night. Season runs from April 24 through June 14.
The Intramural Fall Program is designed to provide children between the ages of 4 (must be born on or before 7/31/11) and 18 (must be born on or after 8/1/1997) with a recreational soccer program. Intramurals [U6, U7, U8, U09-U10, U11-U12, U13-U15, U16-U18 Boys & Girls] season runs from August 1 through November. The registration fee covers all player expenses including a full uniform, team and individual photo, player participation awards for U6, U7, U8, & U10 and EPYSA registration and insurance, along with routine field maintenance and expenses. Please note that teams in the U12, U15, & U18 divisions will play teams from other towns and will have to travel to fields for some of the games. IM teams practice 2X/week in Aug and U10-U18 IM teams practice 1X/week Sep-Nov.
The Travel Program is played at a more competitive level against other clubs in the area. Players must tryout and be selected to play on a travel team. Those who try out and do not make the team will be automatically placed on a team in the intramural program. Travel team players and families make a much bigger time commitment. Travel [U8 through U19 Boys and Girls] season runs July through November. Travel team game schedules are beyond the control of the Association. Team commitment to tournaments, indoor play and Spring activities depends on each team coach. There are additional costs incurred by players in the travel program. These will include the cost of uniforms and selective items such as tournament fees. Travel teams practice 2X/week Aug-Nov.
