- Sign professional for Luton Town FC in 1975 in what is now known as the English Premier League
- Made his debut versus Charlton Athletic scoring twice
- Scored 2 goals in a 3-2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford Stadium
- 1979 was sold to Reading FC for a then club record transfer fee
- Scored on his debut versus Blackburn Rovers FC
- 1981 was sold to Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam for yet another record transfer fee
- Qualified for UEFA cup with teammates Louis Van Gaal and Danny Blind who are now the head coach and assistant to the Dutch National team
- 1993-96 was player and assistant coach for Seattle Sounders
